Lucas van Leyden: The Passion

Lucas van Leyden’s Passion series of extraordinary engravings (1521) depicts fourteen events from the end of the life of Christ. CUAG’s set of Passion engravings is the only one in Canada believed to be from van Leyden’s own hand.

Eros and Endearment: The Look of Love in 18th-Century French Prints

Eros and Endearment looks at how different types and degrees of love were portrayed in 18th-century French art, and the important role that prints played in disseminating these images throughout Europe.
